A reader takes me to task for being too gentle, not something I'm usually criticised for:
Call a spade a spade, Christian. For the PLP to *still* be claiming on their blog that their free day care is for *all* Bermudians isn't spin. It's a lie.
Well, they've struck out the 'all' on their website, but it's still an absurd post.
It's actually funny that they say this:
We are pleased that members of the United Bermuda Party voted for the PLP's free day care proposal.
The truth is that the PLP implemented the UBP's proposal of means tested day care versus their own election promise for 'all Bermudians'.
But they can't possibly bring themselves to admit that the UBP were on the right track, even though they adopted their position can they.
UBP Bad. PLP Good. Say it 10,000 times.
The reader added in a subsequent email:
And what's the point? Why lie? What do they hope to achieve? Has it just become compulsive behaviour for them now?Posted by Christian S. DunleavyAnd how about David Burch belittling Michael Dunkley as a "milkman"
again, who knows nothing about law, after he helped kick their
dentistry amendment into touch? Yeah, because their senators are so
much more experienced (*cough* Thaao Dill *cough*).God, this shit makes me depressed.
